Barbara And Roger
Evie was the feistiest senior citizen we ever knew. She never minced words; she said exactly what she thought to everybody. She traveled extensively with Mary and Kent and was up for any adventure. I shared one of those adventures when I visited Dallas. Mary, Kent, Evie and I went out for pizza, not just any pizza, we traveled 3hours from Dallas for it. It was good pizza! On one of their trips, Mary and Evie came to New York. As a testament to her generosity, she took Mary's siblings and their mates to dinner and a Broadway show. She had a great sense of humor and was a good conversationalist. It was hard for her to give up her independence, but was forced to due to Alzheimer's disease. In her final days she received exceptional care from Brook-dale at Lake Highlands MemoryCare Unit. Her family will always be grateful for the loving care she received there. She will be sorely missed.
