Oh, Kathy, just read in the obits about the passing of your beautiful mother. What a wonder it is that she lived to such an advanced age, the last of the FCC ladies of her generation to graduate to heaven. There was hardly a week that went by that my mom, Mary Gail Meadows (as you well know), didn’t speak of her close friend, Flo, until Mom died in late ’07. Your mama was a cheery presence in my childhood and greeted me warmly when we saw each other through the years. You did such a good job of taking care of her. Perry and I hope to make the service if it’s in the first half of July (when we can). With love and sympathy to you, my life-long friend. Enid Hescock
