Dear Scovel family, I have only just learned of Bishop Scovel's passing….many months after he died. Please accept my sincere condolences and love. What a wonderful man! I learned so much from him as a new member of the church. Since that time I have served twice as bishop myself. I will always remember him and his strong testimony. My thoughts are with you. My loving Bishop, how I will miss you and knowing your prayers and kindness for me over the years. You were the first Bishop that I had known when I became a member of your wonderful ward.
