The first time I met Forest was at a minsters Christmas party in Columbus, Ohio. I noticed right away that he had a keen sense of humor. It wasn't long before we became good friends and through the years his laughter brought a lot of joy into my life. Oh the stories that could be told. His love for the things of God was another one of his remarkable traits. I am so thankful for our friendship and the memories we made together. I'm sure Forest is having the time of his life and all I can say is….look for me for I will be there to.

What a huge impact both Forest and Jean had on my life as my youth pastors and as wonderful friends to my parents and our family. So sad to say goodbye but know we will spend eternity together. Love you Jean. Praying for peace and comfort for you and Nicholas. ❤️
I'm going to miss talking to my friend. I envy where he has gone. I regret letting the miles between us keep us apart. I owe alot of the man I have become to Forest. Some of the best days of my life were spent with him. Can't wait to see you again. Love you Jean! Scott Putnam
I'm one whose life was touched and influenced by Pastor Forest. Back in the early 90's he and Jean were true friends to me. Some words of wisdom he gave to me, I remember to this day. He was also forgiving to those who did him wrong. I'm sad to hear he is not with us, but I know, I know, I'll see him again on that wonderful day that is coming soon. A true man of God. Thank you Jean for sharing him with us. Joe
I had the privilege of being Pastor Forest's secretary years ago when we worked at the same church. I will always remember his sense of humor. It really helped during those 'rough' days! ?? His son, Nicholas, was 4 years old and would come running down the hall to see his daddy. I affectionately called him 'Spud'. I don't even know why. He didn't look like a potato or anything. ?? The entire Johnson family, Forest, Jean & Nicholas were a breath of fresh air and were a blessing to my life during that season in my life. He touched & challenged many of us to live for God no matter what came our way. I heard a saying once that says, "Those who have passed away aren't a part of our past, they're a part of our future." See you soon, Bro. Forest. Joy Sampson
