Forrest Edgar Woodward (Woody) was born on September 28, 1935 in Altoona, Iowa to Hoyt and Idah (Simmerman) Woodward. He passed away on January 22, 2020 in Dallas, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Ione, Guy, and Ralph; his nephew, Harold, and his wife, Charlotte.
Woody is survived by his sons, Mark (Molly) and Mike (Karla), and his daughters Jan (Roger) and Lori. Woody grew up on an Iowa farm. After living in Iowa and Louisiana, he came to Texas where he painted houses for many years. He enjoyed horses, hunting, fishing, fine food, travel, country and classical music, good books, and great company. He loved Charlotte and missed her immensely.
We are especially grateful for the therapists and nursing staff at Crystal Creek who tended to him over this last year.
