Frank Man-Ping Choi's Obituary
Frank Man Ping Choi passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and son in-law, brother, mentor, and friend whose strength, loyalty, and generosity profoundly shaped the lives of those around him. Born in Hong Kong as the fourth of five children, Frank demonstrated intelligence and acumen well beyond his years from an early age. His academic abilities earned him admission into prestigious schools in Hong Kong before he was sent abroad to boarding school and university in Canada to further cultivate his education and independence. His journey eventually brought him to the United States and ultimately to Texas, where he met the love of his life, Lina Ma-Choi. Together they built a life centered around unwavering commitment to one another and to their family. For more than three decades, Frank devoted himself fully to his wife and children through steadfast love, sacrifice, humor, and guidance. His dedication to Lina was unwavering, and his love for his children immeasurable. Frank was also deeply committed to his work and career. Through years of dedication and leadership at DFW Air Cargo Sales, he built a respected legacy defined by hard work, integrity, and professionalism that will not soon be replicated.
He took pride in providing for his family and earned the admiration and respect of colleagues and friends alike throughout his career. Those who knew Frank will remember his intelligence, resilience, humor, generosity, and remarkable strength of character. Even throughout his illness, he faced every challenge with dignity and determination, never allowing adversity to define him. Above all, Frank’s greatest legacy lives on through his family. The values, lessons, work ethic, and love he instilled in those closest to him will continue for generations to come. Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Lina Ma-Choi; his loving children, Alexander Choi and Samantha Choi; as well as his extended family and many lifelong friends. His family asks that those who knew him remember not only the challenges he faced, but the remarkable life he lived and the enduring love he gave so freely to those around him.
