I had to stop and regroup in our elder's meeting yesterday. I could feel those piercing eyes looking right at me. He was missed, but his influence and spirit were still there. I miss having to answer his questions and challenges. I miss laughing before, during and after any conversation that I had with Frank. I miss the phone calls that always involved difficult issues, but were always punctuated by laughter. A "mans man" if there ever was one. A WWII veteran with a passion for Jesus and his church, a stoic exterior with a heart of gold. I am shedding some tears as I remember.
