Frank Albert Woodyard's Obituary
Frank "Pancho" A. Woodyard died Thursday evening, July 16th, 2020 while in hospice care, he was 87.
Frank was born on November 15th, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended high school in Monterrey Mexico and Dallas Texas. He is a graduate of Adamson High School in Dallas. After attending Texas A&M University he served on active duty with the US Army during the Korean War. He completed his education at Southern Methodist University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering. A life long learner, he continued his education after retirement and at 68 was inducted into the National Junior College Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa. He was also active in the Seniors Active in Learning (SAIL) program at Collin College.
An active member of his Catholic community, Frank was a regular altar server, lector and communion minister. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Sadie Sullivan Woodyard and Frank A. Woodyard, sister Sadie Ann Woodyard de Rangel and nephew Eugenio Woodyard de Rangel.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Mast, brother Michael Woodyard, son Frank Jr., daughter Patricia Welsh and husband Skip, son Michael and spouse Kim, daughter Catherine Stephan. Sandra's sons Christopher Mast and spouse Stephanie and Greg Oathout. Grandchildren Ashlie Downing, Alex Welsh and spouse Jennifer, Amanda Messer and spouse Andrew, Elliot Mast, Georgia Mast and two great grand children.
No services will be held this year. A memorial Mass will be conducted next year on the 1st anniversary of Frank's death.
