Uncle Fred is my great great uncle. He was one of the brothers of my grandmother, Mary Gilliland Williams. Recently, my mother and I had the privilege of going to Uncle Fred's 100th birthday party. It was such a thrill to see him so active and alert at 100 years of age. It was great to see that the fun sense of humor that I had remembered about him was still there. I had brought him a picture of my new granddaughter, Katherine Joy Dixon. She was born this year on Uncle Fred's 100th birthday, October 29, 2008. When I showed Uncle Fred the picture and told him she was born on his birthday, he immediately quipped, "That means she will live to be 100, too." We will miss you Uncle Fred. My prayer is that you are enjoying a great time in heaven with Jesus, my dad, and grandmother, Mary.

Mary Ann, Harold and Fred, We are so sorry to hear about your grandfather. I remember how much your mom depended on him and how much he cared for all of you. It is never easy to lose someone you loved so much, but what wonderful memories and his love were his legacy to you. May God ease the sorrow and increase the loving memories. Our love and prayers, Chuck and Juanita Dean
