Fred Lewis Thurman was born on May 17, 1921, in Meridian, Mississippi and passed away on March 9, 2017, in Mesquite, Texas. He was 95 years of age. Preceded in death by wife, Frieda Marie Bishop Thurman. Survived by daughter, Dee Wallace; son, Albert Thurman and wife, Patsy; son, David Thurman and wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Angela Bass, Rachel Selby, Judson Thurman, Sasha Wallace, Lauren Noland; great-grandchildren, Alexis Inman, Mikayla Moore, Landon Moore, Morgan Thurman, Cora Noland; great-great-grandchild Olivia Inman. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 12, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service for Fred will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 3:00 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
