Freya Adelle Read, Adelle, as she was known to most of us, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2025. After 6 months of battling, her body finally succumbed to the ravages of Chemotherapy and multiple infections, and Read Obituary
Where do I begin? I went to high school with Adelle and we became best friends for the rest of our lives. We did a lot of crazy things including a flight with her father when we were 15 and 16 where he took us over Gulf Shores.
I was blessed enough to speak with her on her birthday a few weeks ago and Love and will miss her, until we meet again. In the arms of the Good Lord.
I’ll never forget meeting Adelle for the first time at wild and free on 83 in Wellington. Vic called me to let me know her very best friend was coming to meet Garrix and I, and to say hello to Gus…. Even though we all know she was coming more so for the baby lol! I remember her walking through the door ant the Ritz and I could immediately feel her love for us. Adelle took us in like family and I am forever grateful I got to know her over the years.
Adelle was one of the most selfless people I have ever met. She did whatever she could to help us when our sweet Vic was fighting her battle. Whether it was phone calls or driving MANY MANY miles to go visit her. Even as she was fighting her own battle she still wanted to call and check in on us and our little family, especially after Vic’s passing. That will forever touch my heart.
Our hearts go out to Mark, Marshall, and any other family and friends of Adelle’s. She will be forever missed.
I find comfort in knowing that Vic greeted her in heaven with a “hey mama!” and one of her famous hugs.
We love you all and may Adelle rest peacefully in eternity. 💗
