Gail Yvonne Miller was born March 31, 1970 to Clarence T. and Barbara A. Miller in Baltimore, Maryland. Gail moved with her parents to Plano, TX at the age of 2. The family later moved to Richardson, TX where Gail attended Springr Read Obituary
I’m so sorry to learn of Gail’s passing. I remember Gail as a happy, smiling and fun loving teenager. Gail and my daughter Lynette were friends. I don’t know if The Millers remember me, but I remember them as caring and charitable individuals. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. SIP sweet spirit Angel ????????
My beautiful Gail will be missed in a way that I cannot quite explain. You were by prayer partner and breakfast date- Saturday morning IHOP runs won’t be the same. Only you could bring list of topics you wanted to discuss to breakfast !! You were my sounding board and sister by choice. You are forever my friend. I would love to have you here with me but, Heaven deserves you more. I am so happy that you have been released from a body of pain and has received your crown. I’ve always imagined how beautiful Heaven must be. But now, without a doubt, I know that it is beautiful because that’s where your smile now lives.
To the Miller family, my deepest condolences. Gail was such a great person, truly a light in this world! Thank you for sharing her with us. I pray you find peace in this season. Thank you to Gail for all you did for the NDCBF family … you left a last legacy.
To the Miller Family, May the Peace & Power of Christ sustain always. Gail was such inspiration to all that meet her. I remember the times during the summer, that she would asked if my daughters could come up to the church to help do various task for the children ministry. Her leadership and love for the body of Christ was overwhelming. Her encouragement to my daughter, niece and myself was sincere and genuine. “One plants and one waters, but God get the increase”. Gail will be deeply missed.

Grace and Peace! Gail was a deep listener, insightful scholar, and an encourager. Gail had the ability to be fully “present,” to truly engage others, and create meaningful connections.Gail had a graceful elegance, and gentle spirit. She never complained about the path she was required to walk down but rather verbalized her confidence that God would always walk down the pathway with her. Gail was an eager learner and an excellent scholar, who I don’t believe understood or accepted the extent of her abilities. When she would come to visit a professor she would have her questions prepared so that our time was focused and productive. Gail was passionate about her studies and future research. She was excited to discuss her dissertation ideas and see her statistical methodology coming together. Speaking of statistics. Gail shared with me how much she loved statistics and was genuinely excited about having an opportunity to serve in the Research area. I don’t find many students who want to be on the path to teach statistics. I saw great potential in Gail not only as a student but a future colleague.Gail was always so concerned about everyone else… While many of us feel like we have lost a friend, As a community, Dallas Baptist University is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve with her and to get to know her. What an incredible servant leadership legacy she’s left behind for those of us who were blessed to know her.Gail blessed us with her friendship, encouraged us with her prayers, and allowed us to pray for her. Gail showed us that in the end what it looks like for one for whom God will say “welcome home good and faithful servant.”

There were many days where Ms. Gail and I would leave each other sticky notes of encouragement, and one day I wrote “Shine bright like a diamond” and after that day, that’s what we would always say to each other! So when I was praying after she passed, I was asking God for the right lyrics for a song. Ms. Gail loved when we played and sang, and so I thought I could Best honor her by writing a song. It was such a brief time, yet the impact was significant. You radiated God’s love and your insight on academic issues were profound. You shared our worries, anxieties, and prayers for success in the difficult subjects. Your departure saddens our hearts but we will not grieve like those without hope, for we know and believe we will meet again at the Master’s feet. Sleep on dear sister.
From the minute I learned of Gail’s passing, my heart has been broken. Having known Gail’s sweetness and wonderful giving spirit, I have to mourn for the world’s loss. But our loss is Heaven’s gain, for I am sure the heavens opened up and welcomed one of its own, with Jesus ready to receive her as only He could. Her life was a gift and an example to so many people, young and not-so-young (me). Knowing that you – her family – are a family of great faith, I know where you will find comfort. Being a parent, I can’t even imagine the depth of your pain. The good news is that you know where your baby is – and that you will see her again. I have no doubt that your daughter, sister, aunt, and friend heard the words all Christians want to hear the Lord say to us some day: “…well done, good and faithful servant.”
