Garry Lynn Ingersoll's Obituary
Garry Lynn Ingersoll, 67, passed away March 11, 2016 in Garland, Texas. He was born October 17, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to Doris Faye and Gene Dwight Ingersoll. Garry attended Maple Lawn Elementary, Rusk Junior High and was a 1967 graduate of North Dallas High School. Garry married Pamela Gail Herzan August 18, 1973 and raised two children, daughter Kelli Nicole Ingersoll and son, Brian Lynn Ingersoll in Garland, Texas. Garry and family were members of First Baptist Church of Garland. Garry’s career path took him to Kansas City and St. Louis, MO from 1975-1979, where he was a Regional Sales Manager and Buyer for Wohl Shoe Company. He then returned to Dallas as a Sales Manager for AB Dick Company. Garry grew up an athlete and lettered in every sport. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including gardening, fishing and hiking. He had a zest for life and a sense of humor that could bring a light to one’s face even in the darkest of times. Garry remarried his beloved Aejoo Kim on May 4,2005 and made their home in Garland, Texas. They owned and operated a popular local donut shop in town. Garry was also an entrepreneur and owned his own chemical company. Garry was preceded in death by parents Doris and Gene Ingersoll and brother Dwight. He is survived by wife Aejoo and her many family members, children Kelli and fiance Joey, Brian and wife Stephanie, brother Dale Ingersoll and wife Connie, granddaughters Alyssa and Audrey as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Garry, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend always said, “It’s always somethin’; call me ifya need anything.” Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 3:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
