Gene Newman was a fine man, landscape architect, as well as a wonderful teacher. Our daughter, Megan Smith Abernathy, credits Gene as being a great teacher on the job and a loyal friend. We send our blessings of peace and comfort.

When we first came to First Christian Church Garland Gene would greet us at the door with a big smile and sweet hug. I always looked forward to seeing him each Sunday morning.
