GILBERT L. KING 85, was born in Brunswick County, Virginia to Robert and Nettie King on January 28, 1924. He was 5th of 7 children. He served in the Navy during World War 2 in the South Pacific. He served until 1945. He married Do Read Obituary
Mrs. King, Michael, Twanna, Lary, and Kim, Just got a call from Gary. There are so many wonderful memories with the Sandifer/King families!!! Dad and Mom loved you so much as did all of us kids. I will call you later this weekend. Please know that I am thinking about you all and praying for each of you.

We will miss a great neighbor and friend. The King family has lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and our hearts go out to them.
Larry and Kim – We are so sorry for your lose. Sadly we never had pleasure Iof meeting your dad but have heard many people speak of what a great, kind man he was. We know what a great man he was by knowing he raised such a kind, careing son. I know how special Mr. King was to all of you and how much you will miss him. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.
I just received the news of Mr King's death from Kim. What wonderful childhood memories I have of visiting the King's ranch. I have vivid memories of riding in the back of Mr King's pickup truck through the pastures. I remember we would fight who would jump off the back of the truck to open the silver gates (of course, being the youngest I always seemed to lose). Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
