Gilbert Louis King's Obituary
GILBERT L. KING 85, was born in Brunswick County, Virginia to Robert and Nettie King on January 28, 1924. He was 5th of 7 children. He served in the Navy during World War 2 in the South Pacific. He served until 1945. He married Dorothy Hutton in 1946. To this union was born Gilbert Michael in November 1948. In August 1951, Larry Dwayne was born. He was in construction and a home builder from 1946 until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed ranching from 1963 until his death. He enjoyed spending his retirement with his 2 grandsons and his great-granddaughter. He was a Christian man who was good, honest, fair and caring person. He loved his Lord, his family, and his country. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be 12:00 PM, Friday, May 29, 2009 at Restland Abbey Chapel.
