Enchanted Cottage was purchased for the family of Glenda Eileen Murdock.
I met Glenda soon after my family and I moved to Dallas in June of 1964. She became one of my very best friends and remained so until we moved to Bavaria, Germany in 1980 where my husband had an automobile business and I was a speech-language pathologist for the United States Dept. of Defense Dependents Schools (DODDS). Because of the geographical separation and time constraints we grew apart during the 13 years that I was there and then for the 12 years that we lived in LA. Glenda was a wonderful cook and homemaker, wife and mother, and loved the Lord with all her heart. She will be greatly missed, but is now in the arms of Jesus, totally whole, enjoying the splendors of Heaven and being reunited with her loving family which has preceeded her there. I am privileged to have known this blessed woman of God. Mary Abell, former teacher of hearing-impaired students in DallasTX.

My Beloved Mother, Words will never express my thoughts on this sad day but know that I am forever thinking of you and that I take joy that you and Dad are walking hand in hand again and catching up on events with all of your heavenly Family. I Take comfort and solace that one day we will be together again. Your loving son, Craig
The Shafer family lived down the road from me when I was growing up. I went to school with Gail Jean. Thought so much of Wayne and Glenda and their parents. We know Glenda is in a better place, but your hearts are heavy. Praying for God's peace and comfort for you during this difficult time. Winnie Tidwell
