Gordon “Gordy” Galitz, 76, passed away peacefully on March 30th 2021 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carolyn and his three sons: Bobby and his wife Natalie, Dan and his wife Jennifer, and Dean Read Obituary
I loved my time serving God at Richland Baptist church with Gordon, Carolyn and the boys. We worked hard but played hard to enjoying playing on the church softball team. Gordon was always upbeat and a joy to be with. We will miss him terribly until one fine Dey when we are all together in heaven.
The Galitz family(Herb, Evie, Keith and Gordon) lived two doors down from us in Dallas and my memories of Gordon are that he was always cheerful and willing to help with any chore when I needed some extra help around the house! We will forever remember all the wonderful times we had with Gordon and the whole family on ski trips, vacations, Fourth of July at the lake, New Years Eve, and countless other occasions where our family was blended into one!
Gordy was a uniquely wonderful forever “brother” and family man whose generosity equaled his innate goodness! He was always first to help and support anyone in need. We miss you so much already!

Carolyn, The last time I ran into Gordon he was "the popcorn man" at Baylor Garland. I was having such a tearful & difficult day with both my son & Mother in the hospital. It brought me such peace and joy to walk up to Gordon and have him listen to my problems. I always remember the joy he would bring every time he walked into a room.
