Gregory Gibson's Obituary
Gregory Gibson, beloved son of Joyce Gibson (Richardson) passed away December 7th in Dallas.Greg was employed for many years with the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department. He was proud that he served in the Navy for nine years. Hobbies included scuba diving, hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding, and in recent years, gaming with others via Internet; and, loved spending time with family and friends. Greg was a gentle and kind person who never had a bad word toward anyone. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.He is preceded in death by: Stepfather – Charles Goodner; Grandfathers — Bob Foster of Hubbard; Arvil Turman of Robinson; Curtis Gibson of Dallas; and Grandmother Dorothy Gibson of Dallas.Survived by: Mother —Joyce Gibson of Richardson; Grandmother Violet Turman of Robinson; Stepsister Jerry, Stepbrother Dennis, Half sister Ronda, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends; and Father Ronald Gibson of Winnie.Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17, 6pm to 8pm at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 11am, at Restland in the Memorial Chapel. Burial will be 2pm at DFW National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, or Children’s Medical Center in Dallas — because Greg loved children.
