Gudrun "Gudie" Anita Schultze's Obituary
SCHULTZE, Gudrun “Gudie” Anita passed away March 13, 2026 in Flower Mound, Texas. She was born February 25, 1937 in Neckarsulm, Germany to Erich and Trudy Adelmeier and stepfather Josef. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Germany majoring in clothing design and sewing. When her sister, Doris Kerr, married and moved to the United States, Gudie visited for one year and met her future husband, Donald William Schultze, DVM. They married in 1961. Gudie became a proud U.S. citizen in the 1960’s and Don and Gudie settled in Richardson, Texas. Gudie is known by all as a sweet, loving, and generous person who had a passion for family gatherings, entertaining, and sewing, especially for wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. Gudie worked as an Elizabeth Arden consultant in the cosmetics department of Sanger-Harris Department Store then became a Bank Teller with Compass Bank. Don and Gudie were long-time members of Ascension Lutheran Church in Garland, Texas. When Don passed away, Gudie relocated closer to family and transferred membership to Lamb of God Lutheran Church of Flower Mound, Texas and became an active member of the Quilting Club. Gudie is survived by Daughters, Laquita Norton and husband Robert, Karena Carson and husband Shannon; Sister, Elke Mueller; and five Grandchildren, Callie Moseley and husband Rhett, Megan Gordon (to be married to Alex Pastis 3/20/2026), David Norton and wife Hannah, Kristen Gordon, and Jonathan Norton. Funeral Services will be held March 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Wildwood Chapel Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
