I have wonderful memories about Aunt Laverne at the numerous and crowded holidays and anniversaries spent at the home of Earl A. and Hallie Hester in Crockett, Texas. Earl A. was Aunt Laverne's Father, and Hallie was Aunt Laverne's mother. ( Thus the first name). Even as a young and very boisterous young boy, I quickly learned her example as a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, and aunt. I was in awe at times of her soft and caring demeanor while solving arguments and conflicts between our long list of cousins. I have admired the loving way she treated her husband, children, and in laws. She and Uncle Clarence have been the center of a truly loving family who were blessed to have her as were a lot of us fortunate nephews and nieces as well. I know she has been welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus and will be waiting for us to join her. This message is on behalf of her brother and Sister-in-law Earl A. Jr., and Bonnie Hester of Crockett, Texas who were unable to attend services due to health issues, I and my wife Cindy, and our daughters Kelly, and Amy, who were unable to attend due to family commitments. Aunt Laverne, we loved you and will forever miss your beautiful smile, loving spirit, and wonderful example. You will forever be in our hearts and in our memories. So long until we meet again.
