We just heard today of Harolyn's death. We are so very sorry about this sad news. Harolyn was a treasured member of two of our Garland Public Libraries book clubs: Adult Fiction Book Club and Thrills & Chills Book Club. She was a unique and interesting person with a great sense of humor. We always looked forward to her contributions to our discussions.
Attached is a picture of Harolyn along with a few of her fellow book clubbers. She was one of our "cover models" for our Fall 2024 Off the Shelf library publication. Sending heartfelt condolences to her family from Garland Public Libraries and the book clubbers of Adult Fiction Club and Thrills & Chills Book Club.

Harolyn always made our family gatherings an event to remember ! Never knew what she would pull out of those colorful bags that surrounded her as she yelled to Bubba to get the rest. She would bring some crazy new dish she wanted to try with her flair added. We will miss her.

The best way I can describe Harolyn is "Vibrancy".That infectious smile and love she lavished on others made you feel great! She will surely be missed.Jesus has a far better plan for all that bundle of energy. Sincere condolences, Sally Parker
Harolyn lived across the street from me when we were kids. She was a tomboy and always up for adventures. I loved hanging out with her. As adults, we met up a couple of times when I went back to Dallas. She was the same in a lot of ways - outgoing and funny. I wish we had stayed in touch.
