Harolyn Ann Smith's Obituary
Harolyn Ann Smith, 75 years of age and resident of Garland, Texas, went to be with her Lord on May 25, 2025. She was born in Bryan, Texas to Harry James Huttash and Mary Elizabeth Stone.
Harolyn will be remembered by her love for life and all things different and unique. Harolyn felt a deep spiritual connection with people and animals. Not only was her spiritual connection with those she loved, but with all those she came into contact with. So often, you would hear her say "I met the most interesting person today, and immediately we connected". She looked for the special attributes and quirkiness in everyone she met, whether young and old.
One of her favorite hobbies was cooking, and you would never know what to expect when you indulged in her creations. Harolyn was an avid collector of spices and foods from around the world, which meant there were usually an array of exotic flavors wrapped in her recipes.
Harolyn was an accomplished Stock Broker, a published author and an avid reader. Along with her Southern Drawl, she also spoke German and Greek fluently. She loved her book clubs and she cherished her time with her Bible Study Group.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Harry James Huttash. Those left behind to cherish her legacy is her brother, Harry James Huttash "Bubba"; niece Natalie Olk and her husband James; nephews Adam Huttash and wife Carolina, and Jacob Huttash and wife Wendy; and grandnephews Joseph, Jeremiah, Aiden, and Peter.
A Celebration of Harolyn's life will be held on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 at 10:30 AM, which will be held at Restland's Wildwood Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243.
