Henry Franklin Loftin's Obituary
Henry Franklin Loftin met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face on September 9, 2021. He was born December 20, 1961, to J.P. and Betty Loftin in El Paso, Texas. He was the youngest of three children. His mom’s “Baby Boy”.
He graduated from Eastwood High School in 1980 and later attended Dallas Baptist University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies. He was licensed into the ministry in 1980 and ordained in1985.
He met his wife, Jill Parchman, in 1983 at DBU and they were married on February 29, 1984.
In 1988, through a single phone call he received while working in the Admissions Office at DBU, God gave him a vision for a ministry team that would go into churches and lead them to the Throne in worship.
That vision became Glowing Heart.
That vision is what God called him to do for the next 33 years.
A second vision given to Henry by the Lord was for a Leadership Camp to develop young people into Servant Leaders.
Pacesetters began on the campus at DBU and later moved to Focus Pointe Base Camp which was donated to Glowing Heart Ministries in 2006. This was the third vision the Lord gave Henry. An actual camp setting for these youth to come to for Pacesetters.
In 2002, Henry and Jill began attending South Park Baptist Church in Grand Prairie with their children, Tabitha, Robert, and Sarah. He began leading worship there when available in 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.P. and Betty Loftin, and his niece, Tiffany Everidge Vendal.
He is survived by his wife, Jill; their children, Tabitha Curry and her husband Shane; Robert and his wife Liberty; Sarah Burton and her husband Dakota; grandchildren, August, Judah, Reagan, Uriah, and Jesse Curry; Baby Burton; sister, Kathy Everidge and her husband, Jim; brother, Prentice and his wife Yvonne; niece, Sondi Samra, her husband Nick, their children, Dillon, Hunter, and Tiffany; nephews, Isaac Loftin, his wife, Julie, their son, Aiden; Joshua Everidge, his wife, Felicia, their children, Landri and Layton; Christian Vendal and his wife Hannah; and a host of other family and friends.
