Having Howard in the wrestling room was an experience like no other. He was a staple of the team, and the joy he brought to the room will not be forgotten. Fly high Howard.
I was in middle school with Howard and he was such a kind soul. His laugh was infectious, and his jokes in advisory were always appreciated. We all loved him so much.

Howard’s ability to make those around him happier is something that I admired and try to replicate in my life. There was one time when he got a chance to see some old friends which had hadn’t seen for a year or so over Christmas break, and I will always remember how happy everyone was to see and talk to him and how he was trying to find everyone that he had known at Jesuit and try to talk to them. Even in the Uber on the way there he was talking to the driver about video games, a complete stranger who Howard was willing to talk. Almost every day after we had made plans to hang out during Christmas break when he was in town, he would reach out to me and we would talk for 5 minutes or so. These conversations were something that helped me get through bad days, and made the good days even better. This constant outreach that Howard was making to others is something that I admired and hope to replicate in my life. Howard was a great friend and teammate and I will always cherish the good times I had with him.
All of us at Dominium are so sad for the entire Spicer family. Those of us who were lucky enough to meet and know Howard are challenged beyond belief by this loss. We are hopeful that great memories of a wonderful young man provide some needed salve for broken hearts.
Howard always gave me a bubbly feeling inside and made me feel everything was going to be alright even when things were not and I was struggling. I got to know Howard through school and better through wrestling after school where we spent countless hours throughout weekdays practicing and weekend tournaments. He always had a smile on his face and a great positive attitude no matter the circumstance. Also like me, he had the BEST taste in music and we got to bond over that among many other things. We both have a love for food especially Hibachi and so when he came to town for winter break I made sure we got some and we loved it and had the best time. He always made me feel secure and I’m so so proud and blessed that he deemed me one of his close friends. I think about you every single day and pray for your family. I know you’re in a far better place now, and I just hope and aspire to one day be as compassionate, loving and positive as you always were to anyone and everyone. I love you always G
Fly high Howard,
