This is certainly a late entry, but I had lost track of Herb and Jo after the passing of their son, Mark. Mark and I met during our teens while in the Boy Scouts. We got along great and I was jealous of him in some regards, such as he had a full drum set when only around 14 years old and could listen to rock & roll records without his parents becoming unwound over it! Mr. Peel (Herb) was always very nice to me and to all the scouts in Troop 731 there in Dallas. Mark’s mom, Jo, was always nice, too, and very tolerant of young boys who were Mark’s friends. It is of some comfort to know that Herb, Jo and Mark are all now reunited in Heaven. May God care for them always.Curtis “Terry” Green

I first met Herb several years ago while visiting my dad, who is a friend of Herb's. While talking together after Sunday service that day at Northridge Presbyterian Church, I learned that Herb had spent part of his youth in Konawa, Oklahoma which is located a short drive north of Ada where I live with my family. This led to many phone visits during which I would check up on him and during which we would talk about places and events in Oklahoma, both past and present. I will miss our conversations, but I will miss him even more. Rest in peace, Herb, and may God hold you in his embrace for eternity. Anita Walker 11 December 2014
