Hugh was the sweetest man I knew since SVBC time. Will be thinking of the Family..R.I.P. Hugh. -Melissa Clark
Dear Laura, You are in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying for the peace of God to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts. We have fond memories of Hugh's support and friendship through many years of serving together in God's Kingdom. We were all blessed for his faithful service at PCBC and with the Gideon's ministry. We share comfort in knowing Hugh is with Jesus now experiencing the realities of his favorite song "Amazing Grace". Peace, Prayers and Blessings, Howard and Linda
I always enjoyed visiting with Hugh. My thoughts and prayers go out to each of you and know your heart is heavy with the loss. He has finished his race and won his crown! I will remember you in prayer on Tuesday and sorry I cannot be there. Love you all! Rose Stone
Laura, I will never forget the time we watched the winter Olympics over here. I don't know what year it was but, Mom and Dad were here and Hugh and Bob told the funniest stories, ever. We were all laughing so hard we were crying. Then Bob started trying to pronounce the skaters names. So hilarious. I will never forget all of our great memories together. The best storyteller on earth is now in Heaven.
I knew Hugh for over 70 years. He was 10 years older but some of my first memories are his smile and his helping hands. I keep one photo from when I was about 2, Hugh is walking a horse with me clinging to the saddle horn, Gay Ann sitting behind me to keep me from falling. That was Hugh– always ready to help, give, and do something good. We had limited time together because of distance and many changes in life over the years but there was one constant?.each moment we connected in person, by phone or by letter it was as if we had talked only moments earlier. He was a true friend, the best example of what it means to be a family member and Christian. He is an example of what we all wish we could be, he will never be forgotten. Charles Morgan

Mr. Tyree was such a wonderful mentor and friend! I so appreciated all that he did for me while I was at JC Penney's and at Spring Valley Baptist Church. His life was a witness to all that he was around. I know that he touched the lives of my mom and dad and brother! Thank you God for blessing our lives with Mr. Tyree!

Hugh was a very funny man. His love for his wife was amazing, very sincere, and a beautiful testimony. Hugh loved the Lord with all of his heart. I will truly miss my friend. He is in Heaven now with his Father and just having a grand old time with his friend Charlie .
