I first met Jay at the Tradition, where I volunteer. He always had a smile on his face, a great sense of humor and was extremely intelligent. Like others have said, “He was a gentle giant with a big heart”. My prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

I was fortunate to meet Jay and work for him at Silverleaf. His extreme wit, sense of humor and voracious vocabulary kept all of us on our toes, and if not laughing out loud, snickering. Jay was a friend who helped guide me through my career, he pushed me to strive for excellence and to never accept anything less. My best memories of Jay was his phone calls with Yvonne. Jay could be in the middle of a mess and he would pick up the phone, hear Yvonne’s voice and nothing mattered except what Yvonne had to say…..the gentle giant came out. Best wishes to the family.
