Uncle Herman gave me my first paying job as a youngster that I can remember. Mowing lawns during the summer months so that I could buy snow cones around the corner from the house. Great times riding in the back of the El Camino feeling a sense of accomplishment! God Bless and Thank You!!!
I met Rev. Herman Woods through my dear friend Mildred Roque. And as far as I know he was a wonderful man of God. Praying for the family and may he RIP. Daddy Woods will be truly missed. When I moved to Lewisville, TX from Louisiana, he and Mamma Woods, took me in as a daughter, 35 years ago. I was so blessed to have them in my life. Daddy taught me many things during his life time. Amoung his life lessions were good work ethics, hard work never killed anyone, how to be independent, save for a rainy day, care for other, use and respect for fire arms and how to live in peace with all mankind. My family & I are very saddened to have just learned of the home going of our dear friend Rev. Herman Woods. This awesome man of God took me under his wing early in my ministry and exposed me to many churches & through him many long lasting relationships were established. Rev. Woods and my grandfather, John Jefferson, were best friends and worked together for the railroad. Although we just learned of this our prayers are with you all. We had been trying to contact him for months, called several of those that we knew but never got any response. So we googled his name because my grandmother had an eiry feeling and thats how we found out of his demise. We love you all.
