Homer Ray Daniels' Obituary
Homer Ray Daniels passed away August 11, 2024. He was born October 13, 1939, in Eddy, Texas. He was from Waco High School class of 1958. He has 3 children from a previous marriage, Venetia (1960), Kevin (1962) deceased, and Damon (1965).
He married the love of his life Betty in 1969 bringing Tami (1963) and Dena (1967) making this family complete with 5 children. They lived in the Lake Highlands area until 2001 with retiring from his painting career of 50 years. Homer and his wife Betty moved to Lake Fork (Alba,TX) after retirement.
Homer was an avid bass fisherman winning awards including bass boats and trophy’s fishing tournaments in Texas for over 30 years. After moving to Alba TX, he started crappie fishing. He also enjoyed deer and varmint hunting. His favorite hunting trips were to North Dakota for pheasant hunting and visiting Betty’s family. He enjoyed family get togethers including the best holiday, Thanksgiving. He loved going to all the kids sporting events especially watching his grandchildren play soccer, football and basketball.
He is predeceased by his parents, Billy Daniels and Daffy Carlson; son, Kevin; sister, Vondaine; brother, Jim and in laws and brother-in-law.
Survived by wife, Betty; children, Venetia, Damon (Teresa), Tami Hardage, Dena (DJ) Taylor; brother, Larry and sister, Donna (Tony) Colon. Ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
