Dear Echols Family – I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew your Lynn as 'Hubert'; we went to Garland High School together. He was so nice. I remember the first time I heard him play his guitar and sing; I was stunned – And he was so unassumming – Great Guy – My younger son sings and plays guitar professionally, now, too so I've thought of Hubert (Lynn) often. You and he will be in my prayers – May God give you comfort – Joyce Hay Buster
Dear family: I am Hubert's cousin, Suzanne Echols Smith. Our dad's were siblings. I am so very sad that none of the 35 or so Echols cousins knew of his passing. I am sending love and prayers for the comfort and consolation of your family.
To the Family of Lynn Echols as I always called him. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of One of the most memorable persons I ever knew. Always kept me laughing with his stories and his laughter was contagious. The only singer I ever heard that gave me cold chills when he would hit some of those high notes. He is truly missed. May God Bless You All and may the peace of God fill your hearts. Darrell Allen
