Hugh Bob Martin's Obituary
Hugh Bob Martin passed away peacefully on January 3, 2010, into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and reunited with his wife, Georgia Mae. He was born to Curtis and Fruzzie Martin on February 9, 1928 in Daswon, Texas. Hugh grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended Woodrow Wilson High School. He joined the United States Marines Corps in 1946 and proudly served his country in the Korean War and in World War II. He married Georgia Mae Chase in June, 1951. Their unity of 50 years was blessed with four children: Beth Craft of Edom, Texas; Laura Walker of Edom, Texas; West Martin of Athens, Georgia; and Jonell Rose of Arlington, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Bruce Martin; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Naomi and Geraline, and his loving wife, Georgia Mae. We love you, Daddy. May you rest in the comfort of our blessed Lord. Visitation and Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Edom (9714 FM 314, Ben Wheeler, Texas). Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:00 PM . Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
