Ilse and Duke (Brent and Kara) were part of our neighborhood family and integral to my memories growing up! We all were literally “next door” neighbors! My parents loved them so. Ilse always had a smile, was always so kind to me and made me feel at home. Her presence will be greatly missed. Hugs to the family from us to you. Fran Baas
Ilse was truly one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have such fond memories of growing up with Brent and Kara. I, at times, find myself reminiscing over the wonderful memories of childhood. She and Duke will always be such an integral part of growing up in our great neighborhood. I will miss her dearly! Rest in heaven Ilse. You will always be missed.
I was taken in by Kara and am loved by complete strangers and in my heart I believe Grammie had everything to do with that. I remember greeting her when we would arrive after school and the boys would say “Hi Grammie!” so I decided I would call her Grammie too! She never seemed bothered by it and honestly, that meant so much! She just went along with it. Thank you, Grammie.
