I first met Irma in 1970s at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and Parkland Memorial Hospital.
I never knew she was from Houston.
I attended Phillis Wheatley H.S.
and TSU Texas Southern University in 3rd. ward.

To the Dobbins family, Hazel and I would like to express our deepest sympathy to all of you. We have so many good fun memories down through the years, living across the street from each other growing up was a joy. We pray that you will be given the strength to know that Irma is resting in heaven now. Cherish the good times, the many years and memories that you had and we will do the same. Sending heartfelt sympathy for the Irma Jean Dobbins family. A fond memory of Irma was when both my parents and I visited her sister Gloria and her husband's home. Irma happened to be there, and she assisted with making the delicious meal of fish and the trimmings. I can remember Irma's vivacious spirit and eagerness to talk about the Dallas Cowboys, as we all were fans too!
