Jack York Alvis' Obituary
Jack was born June 4, 1924 in Winnsboro, TX and passed away on July 22, 2016 in Dallas, TX at the age of 92. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife of 64 years, Leola Alvis. Jack is survived by his son, Richard, and daughters, Sherry and Rebecca. Jack was a WWII Navy Veteran. He was also a Dallas Police Officer and retired after having served 25 years. Jack enjoyed motorcycles, barbershop chats, RC airplanes, sailboats and most of all dancing. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 11:00AM at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
