Mr. Jack McLean's Obituary
John “Jack” Bruce McLean was born in Winnipeg, Canada on December 7, 1926 and passed away on May 12, 2015. He was known to friends and family as Jack, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Pat, his daughters, Mary McLean, Katy Morris, Jackie Fleming and her husband Randy of Plano, Laura Morrison and her husband Gregory of Sachse, and Mollie Cook and her husband Ryan of Plano; grandchildren: Judy Chaney, Hunter Morris, Erin Swain, Kate Morrison, Joni Reed, Duncan Morris, Coulter Fleming, Nicholas McLean, Laura Richardson and Maggie Pierce; great grandchildren: McLean (Mac), Rennah, Henry, Abby, Brock, Liam and Lilah. Jack was adored by all his grandchildren. Jack served in the Canadian Army during World War II. He moved to the United States and became a proud American citizen in 1956. Jack was an avid cribbage player, pool player, and he was a lector at Saint Mark Catholic Church of Plano for many years. He was a wonderful man who made everyone laugh. He helped raise his grandson Nick McLean and instilled him with the values that make Nick the outstanding young man he is today. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love my dad. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Abbey Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
