The tributes below have much in common – Jackie (Foxy to me!) was about living life to the full, with fun, laughter and love. Life was never a dress rehearsal.
Foxy, you introduced me to Comos!! My only go to cocktail and from now I will always raise one to you!!
The Atlantic did not separate our friendship of 30 years. Thank the Lord we had technology to keep us together!
And as we laughed a few days before you left us, technology proved more reliable than postage. I loved seeing you smile on video! But you were always smiling – brightening up any room you walked into.
So it broke my heart hearing you had left us one day, then the very next your belated birthday card to me arrived!! We’d previously laughed knowing it could be up to one month late!! Now you know why technology suited us better!! But I knew you’d never forget me. You never did; the same for a great many others. This is one card I will treasure forever.
You always wrote as if we were chatting. And what was so typical of you, you wrote ‘Life is good for me’. Demonstrating gratitude and appreciation.
You were encouraging and inspirational ensuring people looked at life from a glass half full, not empty. You wrote about how excited you were to go on the cruise of a lifetime with Barney to Italy.
And now we must look towards celebrating your life. I’m confident that is how you would look at it.
We all thank God for having you in our lives.
God bless Barney, your family and friends. You leave behind a void which will be filled with so many incredible memories. Watch over Barney from up on high sending him guiding strength.
When I close my eyes I will always see your beautiful smile.
It’s not what we have in life but who we have in our life that really matters.
Thank you for being in mine.
Love you Foxy!!
