Jaclyn “Jackie” Ann Caddell Adams, born July 21, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away October 08, 2025, in Naples Italy, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Jackie was the beloved daughter of Jack and Jeanette Gibson Caddell. She spent her early years in Dallas, Texas, where she attended school and began cultivating the bold and creative spirit that would guide her through a vibrant life. Her passion for adventure and style led her to California, where she built a successful career in both the fashion and film industries. Whether behind the scenes or at the center of the action, Jackie brought unmatched energy, originality, and heart to everything she did.
On July 7th, 1988, at the beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea, she married the love of her life, Byron H. “Barney” Adams. Their enduring partnership in business and life together spanned decades and many adventures. In recent years, the couple split their time between Indian Wells, California, and Colorado Springs, Colorado cherishing the beauty and community of both places.
Jackie lived life to the fullest. A true free spirit and the life of every party, her vibrant personality lit up every room. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, loved, and welcomed — and she did it all with style and grace.
She is survived by a loving family: Byron H. “Barney” Adams, Bob and Linda Adams, Cindy Herington, Garrett Herington, Sean and Diana Herington, Eddie and Liz Adams, Blake Adams, Scott Adams and Laina Adams, Susan and Gregg Bass, Cisco Bass, Dakota and Su Bass, Ellie and Jordan Foster, Brian Jennings and Jaileigh Jennings. Jackie was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Dr. Jim Caddell and niece Jaime Caddell Jennings.
Jackie’s countless friends became chosen family over the years. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her joy, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
