I knew the entire Bauer family as they lived down the street from me on Swallow Lane in Irving, TX. His daughter Vickie was one of my best friends and I remember sharing many an afternoon after school at their house. Mr. Bauer was always a hard working man and loving father and I will remember him fondly. My thoughts and prayers are with Diane and all the kids during this extremely difficult time. My last memory of Jim was the saddest but the proudest. We were Skyping from our cousin Joey's birthday party in late November from Stacey Hamilton Janson's home in California & Jim, though he was weak & ill, was propped up in bed acting like everything was well so Joey wouldn't know he was dying. Thinking of those he loved before himself shows his spirit. We've lost an important member of the family but I know his love is shining down on his family from Heaven above.
