James E. Chapman Jr., 77, of Richardson, Texas died March 14, 2020 in Richardson, Texas. He was born February 22, 1943 to James E. Chapman and Anna Marie Chapman in Dallas, Texas. He married Marcia Erwin on June 3, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. He was an Electrical/Microwave Engineer at Texas Instruments and Raytheon.
He is survived by spouse Marcia Erwin Chapman of Richardson, Texas; sons, Shaun E. Chapman of Wylie, Texas, Blake E. Chapman of Richardson, Texas; brother, Jerry W. Chapman of Allen, Texas; grand children, Tyler Chapman, Austin Chapman and Ashleigh Chapman.
Jim was a microwave engineer and an accomplished musician who loved playing piano and organ for various churches. He was a soccer coach and boy scout den leader for both his sons. Jim loved camping, boating and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Jim also loved playing softball, tennis and tripoli with his friends. He was a member of Heights Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for kids and young adults. He will be loved and missed by many.
