James Franklin Frolik's Obituary
James Franklin Frolik, 81, of Garland, Texas, died Saturday, January 2, 2021 in his home. He was born July 25, 1939, to Frank James Frolik and Whynetta Huneke in Red Wing, Minnesota. His family moved when he was very young to south Alabama where he grew up and eventually met his wife, Juanita Ryals. They were married on April 1, 1960 in Loxley, Alabama, and shortly after moved to Texas so he could attend technical school. Later in his career, he was a communications engineer with Alcatel International until his retirement in 1998. James was a long time and devoted member of his church, First at Firewheel Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita; his daughter, Carmen Stevens, and her husband, Lee; his daughter, Pam Hoffpauir, and her husband, Kevin; his brother, Dale Frolik, and his wife, Janice; his brother, Jerry Frolik, and his wife, Sherry; his brother, Joseph Frolik, and his wife, Jan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside service only to be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 8, 2021, at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pleasant Hills Children’s Home or Adult & Teen Challenge.
