We were so very sorry to hear about Jim's passing. He was a sweet man who we enjoyed having lunch or dinner with and sharing our political views and emails. We didn't know him for a lot of years but were pleased to consider him a friend. Diane & Jim Krizmanic Richardson
"Jim was truly like a 'second father' to me. I first met Mel & Jim (Scarlett & Rhett Butler 💕) in 1972 at a Multiple Sclerosis support group in Dallas (as my mother also had MS). Through these 45 years our families have remained intertwined for 3 generations. Jim insisted I learn how to use a computer in order to communicate with Mel after my mother passed away, he came to visit me in Jordan, attended my youngest son's graduation from Culver Military Academy, formed a 'much needed, mutually supportive' bond with my father, and remained an inspiration and example 'to the very end' of what a real man is. He set the bar high in all areas of his life: as father, husband, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, provider, caregiver, gentleman, patriot, … and friend. I'm so grateful to have had him 'give me away' at my wedding and to have had him in my life… as an 'honorary McCrary'… :two_hearts:. My condolences, good thoughts, prayers, and love to all the McCrary's during this sad time, his memories will be cherished forever…
Jim was a wonderful, caring gentleman. My family was blessed to have him as a friend. We loved having him join in our family celebrations. Our kids considered him like a grandfather. We will miss him dearly. With love, Melinda, Robert, Michael and Lauren Floyd.
My most sincere condolences to the McCrary family. Jim was a great friend. We both joined Chapter 270 Korean War Veterans Assoc. After I left Dallas we have stayed in constant contact. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Keith Fannon
