Jan and Ernie were the nicest parents whenever I was at Melanie's house. Ernie built or "helped" us build our church for American Experience in high school. Jan would get home from work and make sure we were eating. It was undeniable how much they adored Melanie. They were awesome parents and I can only imagine the depth of loss Melanie is feeling. What an amazing legacy they are leaving of love, marriage and family.
