John Mckendry
Aunt Jeanne always sent holiday and birthday cards to us with a note until her last year or so. She also shared photos of her favorite flowers (red roses), her great-grandchildren, and even herself. When we sent her photos of our farm and property, she responded by saying she made a file for them labeling it "The John McKendry Farm."
For many years she attended the Zinkle Family Reunion requesting Johnny Cash tunes and dancing with Uncle Al. We always missed her once she was no longer able to attend.
We are grateful for having known her and are thankful for her loving family who took such good care of her as her health declined. Since we are both the oldest siblings in our families, she was definitely an inspiration for both of us.
