Jeanne Marie Neis' Obituary
Jeanne M Neis, born January 24, 1924, to the late Aloyusius and Gertrude (Schmidt) Zinkle, passed away peacefully into God’s hands September 11, 2025, with family at her side. She was 101. She married the love of her life Glenn L Neis on August 30, 1943, who predeceased her in death August 7, 2000.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Smith, her son Richard (Jane) Neis, her son Robert (Mary Anne) Neis, her daughter in law Pam Neis and her sister-in-law Sue Zinkle.
She was preceded in death by her son Frank Neis. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers, 4 sisters in law, 3 sisters and 3 brother in laws. Robert & Lois Zinkle, David & Pat Zinkle, Aloyusius (Al) & Katherine (Katie) Zinkle, Jerome (Jerry) & Kathleen Zinkle, William (Bill) Zinkle, Richard (Dick) Zinkle, Lois & Jack Mckendry, Eileen & Kermit Groom and Dianne & Ronnie Bird.
Grandchildren Janet Neis Drobish, Laura Prettyman, Sharon Clark, Frank Smith IV, Jeanne Baker, Julie Neis, David Neis, Bobby Neis, Matthew Neis, and Kimberly Neis and 6 Great Grandchildren.
She loved caring for her family and grandchildren, cooking, gardening and remembering everyone’s various Birthdays, Anniversaries and Holidays by mailing out a special card to let them know she was thinking of them.
A small graveside burial service with no visitation hours will be held at 10:30 AM on Sunday September 21st, 2025, at Restland Cemetary 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas 75243.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the entire staff at New Century Hospice and Arbor Hills Memory Care for their loving care and assistance during her many months of declining health.
