Jeannine Loretta Gott's Obituary
Jeannine Gott passed from this earth into the glorious presence of the Lord Jesus on October 25, 2016, at the age of 84, due to multiple illnesses. Jeannine Loretta Peck VanBuskirk Gott, born October 15, 1932, in Birmingham, Ala., was predeceased by mother, Bertie Christine Peck VanBuskirk, father John Peck, Stepfather, Sgt. Richard VanBuskirk, brother Richard Flinn Peck VanBuskirk, sister, Reveille VanBuskirk Lehecka, and great nephew Hudson Smith. Survived by husband, Larry Gott, brother, Dirk VanBuskirk, brother-in-law, Charles Lehecka, sister-in-law, Brenda VanBuskirk, step children, Christopher J Gott, David Michael Gott , Judy Adrienne Gott and many nieces and nephews. Sgt. VanBuskirk adopted Jeannine and Richard in 1946. The family traveled with her Army stepfather around the states until moving to California. She committed her life to Christ as a young girl and through the years has shared His love with relatives and friends. You might say that her theme through life was “Everything for Christ”. She attended Vallejo College and the Bay Cities Bible Institute in Oakland, CA. She studied voice and was a soprano soloist at several churches, also singing at weddings, funerals and retirement homes. She retired from Amica Insurance in 1987, having been transferred by them in 1958 to help open the Dallas Branch Office. She married the love of her life, Larry Gott in 1980. Larry loved Jeannine as Christ loved the Church. Although she married late in life, she was blessed by her loving husband that the Lord provided for her. She gives all praise to the Lord for His salvation. A visitation for Jeannine Gott will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Restland Funeral Home. A Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Restland Memorial Park with a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Park Cities Presbyterian Church (PCPC), 4124 Oak Lawn, Dallas. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to PCPC, or to the charity of your choice.
