Jewel Bernice Holt was born on August 20, 1929 in Leflore County, Oklahoma and passed away April 19, 2017 in Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by parents, Charles Anderson and Sonora Mabel (Fullen) Holt; Brothers, James William Holt, Jack Thomas Holt, and Robert Carl Holt; Sisters, Emma Jean Parker and Judy Carolyn Neal; Niece, Sue Lynn Johnson; Grand Nephew, Patrick Shane Nunnelley. She is survived by sisters, Mary Helen Johnson, Charlene Walton, and Patricia Maxfield; brothers-in-law, Donald Maxfield and David Neal; Niece Teresa Gayle Rossi, Sharon Booth, Camela Holt, Candice Holt, Debra Wayne-Montez, and Kimberly Dawn Segale; Nephews, Edward Allen Walton, Jr.; Andrew Thomas Walton, David Eugene Parker, James William Parker, Anthony Alan Johnson and Marcus Maxfield; grand nephews, E. Allen Walton, III, Brendon Walton, Ryan Walton, Adam Wayne, Winston Booth, Theodore Booth, Alexander Booth, Jonathon Wayne, Dylan Maxfield, Justin Johnson, Nash Johnson, Cole Johnson, Joshua Parker, and Matthew Parker. Great Nieces: Jean Rose Parker, Jamie Parker, Whitney Nunnelley, Regan Leigh Walton, Riley Grace Walton, Caitlin Blanton Walton, and Darla Maxfield; great great-nephews, Matthew Wayne; great -great nieces, Peyton Ellen Johnson, Lola Blanton, and Addison Wayne. Bernice graduated from Cameron, OK, High School, Dallas Bible Institute, she was a member of Lake Ridge Bible Church, Mesquite, TX. She spent her life involved with Bible Memory Association, Child Evangelism Fellowship, Billy Graham Evangelism, Teaching Sunday School, Backyard Bible Clubs, Vacation Bible School, Youth Camps, Bible Memory Association, and Awana. She retired after 41 years of service from Southwestern Life Insurance Company and Substituted at Garland Independent School District. Visitation will be Friday, April 21, 2017 from 4:30 to 8:30 PM, at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel of Restland Funeral Home under their direction. Officiating will be Dr. Roger Raymen pastor of Lake Ridge Bible Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
