Jim Senseman's Obituary
Wilbur “Jim” Senseman, loving father, grandfather, and friend, died peacefully in his home in Krum, Texas on February 25, 2019 at the age of 85.Jim is survived by his daughter, Kim Senseman, of Denton, TX, and his granddaughter, Ashley Johnston, of Carrollton, TX. He is also survived by his brother in-law, sister in-law, and nephew of Ithaca, NY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Senseman, and daughter, Debra Johnston.Jim was born on February 13, 1934 in Harrisburg, PA to Wilbur James Senseman Sr. and Vera Ethel Davis. He graduated from Penn State University in 1955 with a Major in Sociology. He served as a Specialist in the United States Army and performed duties as a military police officer, and was honorably discharged in 1962 from the United States Army Reserve.He married Patricia May House, his first true love, on November 14, 1959 in Arlington, VA. They had two daughters, Debra Marie Senseman, born in 1962, and Kimberly Deanne Senseman, born in 1964. In 1972, the family relocated to Richardson, TX while working for EDS, where he retired from in 1988.He enjoyed spending his time at the family cabin in Southfork, CO and rockhounding as a member of the Dallas Gem and Mineral Society. After being widowed in 2005, he moved to Krum, TX where he continued to enjoy spending time with family and friends.The viewing will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2019, at 3:00 PM at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jim’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Wildlife Federation.
