I knew Jimmy through Scouting and he was a great Scouter. He taught me outdoor cooking at one of my first adult Scout leader trainings. Our careers as Scoutmasters (different troops) overlapped a bit. We would share Scoutmasters stories at Scout Roundtables. He was on the Boy Scout Roundtables staff while I was on the Cub Scouts staff. We crossed paths so many times. He was always cheerful, kind, with a funny story or anecdote to share. He was a true gentleman. I'll miss you Jimmy but I know you're in a better place.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Jimmy's passing. Jimmy and I served on several Wood Badge courses for Circle Ten. I would also see Jimmy and be able to visit with him at other Scouting events. He was a bright light in the Scouting community with a heart for helping young men and women be successful in life. He carried an eternally happy outlook and I was lucky to call him my friend. "And He will life me up on eagle's wings"...soar, Jimmy, soar!
