JoAnn was wonderful, she always made me laugh, she had a crazy sense of humor! JoAnn & Ev would pick at each other & she would act mad at Ev, but I know that she wasn't. But then Ev would say something smarty just to aggravate her some more & she would put on her little snarly grin & laugh. Their love for each other is something we don't see much anymore and I am so very grateful to God that I was a part of the family, even it if was a distant part of the family. We didn't talk as much as I would have liked, life gets in the way too much these days, but I know she knew that I loved her with all my heart and I will never forget her! I do know that she is no longer in any pain and that she is in Heaven looking over all of us, and I am feeling grateful to have another Angel looking down on me! Ev we won't forget you, please stay strong and someday the 2 of you will be together again forever! On a funny note – Ev, you know that Heaven is in trouble, JoAnn & Bobby are together now, and you just know that God is saying to himself "what was I thinking". The 2 of them together, they are probably trying to take over Heaven !!!! (no disrespect intended) With all our prayers & love for the entire family. My mother was the essence of LOVE. She deeply loved her husband and cherished her children. No matter what wrong we did, she always forgave us. She supported all our dreams. In my case, I always wanted a horse and she would give me gifts of horse figurines until I was 13 years old and was able to purchase a horse for $75.00. She helped me carry bales of hay and attended all my horse events. When I was a rebellious teenager with a no-good boyfriend, she hung in there until I realized what she knew all along – that I was better off without him. When it came time to go to college, I wanted to join the Peace Corps. She advised me to wait til after college, which I did. But I went on to grad school and then took a job that allowed me to fulfill my dream to travel the world. She was so wise! And she never chose one child over the other. She always told us "I love you all the same". She and my younger brother, Bill, (who passed away in 2009) were particularly close because they shared the affliction of Muscular Dystrophy, and she felt very protective of him. She was his "Mimsy" and he was her "Billy Boy". They are now reunited in Heaven and I know they are smiling down at the rest of us, letting us know they are OK. I love you, Mom, with all my being. I will continue my life, tracing your footsteps and doing my best to live your legacy of LOVE.
